1. Montessori By The Sea has proven that Montessori can and DOES work- there are 4 year olds reading because they are ready to, and some 5 year olds who are not because they're not ready yet (but they aren't being penalized for it).

They are all succeeding at life and feeling like they have something to contribute and that is WONDERFUL. The children are bing encouraged, but not put in a lower set or sent off to some 'remedial' class where thay are ostracized from their peers. The expectations are high and thus the children perform in the way that the environment has given them confidence to perform. It doesn't matter that you're 2 years old, the teachers instill in those toddlers the confidence to believe that anything is possible, even if that anything is putting on their shoes or pulling up their underwear... and that is PRICELESS! Creating confidence in children should be fostered and not supressed and it is something that is happening at the school.

These are the things that make Montessori By The Sea and the Montessori method special.

I wouldn't dream of having my children anywhere else (except home with me) and am already fretting about what will happen when they are 9!
